A creamy blend of ripe mango, yogurt, honey, and cardamom for a refreshing, smooth drink.

# What You'll Need:

→ Fruit & Dairy

01 - 1 large ripe mango, peeled, pitted, and chopped (approximately 1 cup)
02 - 1 cup plain whole milk yogurt

→ Sweetener & Flavor

03 - 2 tablespoons honey
04 - 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
05 - 1/2 cup cold water or milk

→ Garnish

06 - Pinch of ground cardamom or chopped pistachios

# How-To Steps:

01 - Place the mango, yogurt, honey, ground cardamom, and water or milk in a blender.
02 - Blend until smooth and creamy. Check consistency and add more water or milk if a thinner texture is preferred.
03 - Taste and adjust sweetness or cardamom intensity as preferred.
04 - Pour into two glasses.
05 - Garnish with a pinch of ground cardamom or chopped pistachios if desired. Serve chilled immediately.

# Tips from the pros:

01 -
  • It's genuinely cooling in a way that matters when the heat won't quit, and way more satisfying than any iced drink from a cafe.
  • The cardamom whispers something exotic without ever overpowering the mango, which feels like a small secret you're in on.
  • You can make it in less time than it takes to walk to the corner store, but it tastes like you've been fussing over it all morning.
02 -
  • A mealy or underripe mango will make you regret everything, so buy it a day or two early and let it sit on your counter until it yields to gentle pressure—there's no rushing this part.
  • The blender is your friend here, but don't over-blend to the point of warming it up; thirty to forty seconds of solid blending is plenty, and if your blender gets hot, you've gone too long.
03 -
  • If you're making this for guests, blend it just before serving because the texture starts to separate after a few hours, losing that creamy magic.
  • Taste your mango before committing to the full recipe amount of honey—some mangoes are so sweet that you'll only need half.
